Sardargarh, one of the magnificent forts of Rajasthan, is an extravagant creation by men of a bygone era, placed amidst the mountains and deep forests of Chuppun.
Sardar Singh, one of the most powerful Dhodhias, built the Sardargarh Fort during 1738 to 1743. You can see the ramparts of the mystery filled Sardargarh, like a great ship anchored at outer sea, much before you get close to the gigantic walls soaring high above the low lying village of Lawa.
Magnificent fort of Sardargarh is situated 94km north from Udaipur.

The emblem of the Sardar Singh family was a rising sun and a sword. Beneath that, they always wrote,
"Work is thy duty, reward is not thy concern".

Banjara village, Kalbeliya Tribe, Family bagh and Talao paal; evening outing place and boating in the Lake.

At Sardargarh Heritage Hotel the Durbar Hall offers a charming vista of the village and looming over the horizon is the imposing Aravalli Hill range.
The beautiful places within the fort include Mohan Prakash, Moti Mahal, Zenana Mahal, Chomkha Chowk, Suraj Mahal, Wadi Mahal, Khushal Mahal, Dil Kushal and Hawa Mahal... all are splendid architectural creations, silently narrating the heroic exploits of the Dhodhias.
The palaces are exquisite specimens of Rajput architecture with a touch of Moghul influence. The bath area, gardens and granaries, underground passage system personal apartments and public audience halls... all provide a picturesque contrast between the exigencies of defence and the flamboyance of prosperous peace.
